Celebrating the Big ONE

Celebrating Warner's ONE was so much fun.  Dr. Suess adorned the walls and balloons filled the air.  A surprise snow could not even stop our affair.

Warner Bear took it all in and enjoyed opening his first birthday gifts.  Hands in the air is his sign of excitement.  From books to crayons and lots and lots of balls, gift cards, catepillars, and ride-on cars, he is blessed by the love in the form of paper and bows and friends who travelled by slippery cars and by foot through the snow.
But, of course, the first birthday cake steals the show.  For sugar and chocolate spread head to toe.  These pictures capture a moment that mommy never wants to fade.  Please forgive the following overindulgence of the memories made.

Sugar sets in and a coma insues.  This mommy's heart simply melts at those baby blues.  With cheeks full of icing and crumbs everywhere, we laughed and laughed at our hyped-up Warner Bear.
Immediate bath time was a must, for he smelled of sugar and cake was stuck to his nose.  My memory holds dear, knowing that big brothers got this same treatment on their first year.
Happy as can be, he had a great day.  Bathed, full, and giggly our boy was still wanting to play.
A drive in his new convertible was on tap.  I began to wonder if he would ever take a nap.
I cannot go without say'n, Thing 1 and Thing 2 sure did help in all of this play'n.

Another ONE has passed through our house.  The days carry on and it is definitely NOT quiet as a mouse.  My baby will soon toddle and fight with his brothers.  But, glad oh glad, am I to be his mother.  Happy birthday to my sweet Warner Jude.  Your first year was good, very good!
