The VBS that we were fully in charge of took place today. Our team leader, Nani, did an amazing job planning the day's events.
It was really cool to witness firsthand how God had prepared the way before us. We were told that the city kids are a bit more rambunctious than those from the towns that we had already worked with. However, all of the children were very well behaved.
One of the activities that Brian and I were in charge of involved drawing on a mural. Once we realized that we would have more children than originally planned, we decided that two activities in our room would be appropriate. I led half of each class in the mural activity while Brian led the other half and vice versa. His activity was a walk through John 3:16. He also shared his personal testimony and asked if anyone would like to pray the same prayer that he had and accept Jesus as their Savior. Several children (and teens) prayed with him! It was energizing to witness this taking place before my eyes. God is so amazing. Brian was on cloud nine all day just from witnessing God's provision as He tweaked our original plans. The walk through John 3:16 was a last minute add on. There is much to be learned from this... God's ways are higher than our's! Trusting in Him will never leave you down the wrong path.
