While getting ready for church, he got his first gift delivered by the big boys {who graciously broke out in a fight as to who was going to hand him the present...they also gifted him with the reminder that it was NOT going to be a peaceful day in the Mosley Mansion!}. His gift was a Captain America t-shirt. Now, he is Superman AND Captain America. Yep, that pretty much describes this Daddy-O!
Daddy got a breakfast of piping hot cinnamon rolls on a piece of the fine china...the king of the house has to eat like a kind right? Well, he didn't even notice. Haha! Men and those details! ;-)
He got to lounge around on the couch with a sandwich after church. He received his second gift ... a water gun... the big boys each got one as well. And of course, they all had to have a little watergun fight in the yard.
Then we treated him to dinner out (hot dogs at Good Dog at Coolidge Park...yep, this is Father's Day) and snowcones in the park. Daddy and GL enjoyed playing frisby, while Brody attempted to "play" but was just as easily entertained by romping around in his "Brody-kind-of-way." Warner and I enjoyed hanging out on the blanket watching the big boys play.
The boys rode their bikes around and made a stop off at the fountains to get their feet wet...but Brody decided to get wet from the waste down.
It was such a wonderful evening with a warm, pleasant breeze, and two boys who did not fight and argue with each other. Maybe it was a peaceful Daddy's Day afterall.
